1) Stick a vacuum gauge in the front port. 2) Remove a spark plug and screw in a compression gauge. 3) Take the wire and connect a spark tester. 4) Unplug a Injector and stick on a noid light. 5) Have assistant crank while I watch and record results. No spark or noid light..Sure, thats a crank sensor or the wiring.

The snap on diagnostic machine couldn’t say if these codes were current or historic. We cleared all the codes and 2 came back on immediately but no light came up on the dash, P0674-13 cylinder 4 glow plug - circuit open. Now the DEF fault “no engine restarts in 540 miles - Diesel exhaust fluid dosing malfunction” has come up on the dash.

Shifting Up. Jun 5, 2009. #1. Hi Guys, My TD5 just had 220,000km service and some faults showed up on the test book. 1) Injectors 1,2 & 5 - open circuit. 2) No 4 injector - over fuelling. I will replace No 4 injector with a re-con but can someone tell me what does open circuit mean and what needs to be done.
The engine is has 9.35:1 pistons and everything else put back to standard spec including standard 3.9L EFI cam. I'd be grateful if those who know can post Bosch part numbers. Fiveomotorsport list the Bosch 0280156013 and Ford C302 injectors as suitable but there seems to be some conjecture about suitability for Australian 14CUX management.
