Posted August 29, 2002. Alex. The Duratec is a great engine. My car has 600+ miles on it. It is using a Pace dry sump system with my design sump tank, which various people are now using for the K series. Power output is around 190 using a Scholar Engines map.Engine will be out during the winter for the upgrade.

And in my mind, more reliable. Not to say the Zetec isn't reliable either, but I do feel more things go wrong on it.
